Who speaks Japanese today?

Japanese is spoken almost throughout Japan. It stays as the native language of Japan. It is also the official language of it. More than 100 million people use Japanese as their mother tongue.

Early Japanese

Old and prehistoric Japanese was used by early settleers in the islands of Japan who were from the Asian lands. the history of pre historic Japan is not clear vague.The origins of Japanese language are unpredictable.

Modern Japan

Japan was an isolated state till the end of the 19th century from rest of the world. Within the start of the 20th century Japanese was highly effected by foreign (European mostly).Its vocabulary has got new words which are added with the advent of new generation.


Dialects of Japan differ from region to region. There is Western and the Eastern Japanese dialects.
